Teenagers of tumblr, this should be the exact response that ANY ADULT makes upon finding out your age. Age is NOT just a number, and if they don’t head for the hills the moment you say you’re under 18, they’re a creep.

I feel like we should be focusing on the fact that a minor is in a clear adult space.
They revealed their age this time, but the assumption for an adult space is that the other people there are fellow adults. Had tge minor not revealed their age, the adult has no reason to believe they are underage. That adult man can be charged if he sends or receives any suggestive pictures or flirts with this minor and is reported (like a parent looking through the minor’s phone).
Let’s be clear: the law is very black and white on these kinds of things. They do not care about context. They care that one person was a minor and something sexual was said or done. Lying about age? A fake ID? (In some countries, literally drugged and raped by a minor?) Courts dont care. The adult can easily be charged and the minor treated exclusively as a victim.
Minors do not belong in adult spaces (bars, adult dating apps, strip clubs, etc). They are not owed entry. And they are not the victim if they are the ones intentionally hiding their age. We need to teach these kinds of minors to stay out of adult spaces.

I live in vietnam and the number is actually that low lmao vietnam has closed down schools and universities and started online learning since feb. they have praticed social distancing and lock down for 20 days now. The government literally spent billions to put tourists in quarantine for free to health check them everyday for fourteen days to make sure community spread doesn’t happen. They’re willing to risk the economy as long as the people are safe. Like you do know vietnamese people have access to the internet right???
